The license is paid for centrally, meaning that individual subscribers are not charged a license fee. Departments determine which employees have a business need. We renewed the license agreement in November 2017.
Is Creative Cloud free?
Customers are not charged an individual license fee, and in that sense it's 'free.' The ETLA license fees are paid by central IT funds. There is an upper limit to the number of licenses we can grant, so we do restrict them to a 'Cornell business need' basis.
Is Acrobat Pro free?
Acrobat Pro is included in the Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps Plan. We also have additional Acrobat Pro standalone licensing available for Cornell staff and faculty with a business need for Acrobat Pro, but who do not need the other Creative Cloud applications. Which address should I use as my Adobe ID?
You will need to use your NetID@cornell.edu
email address as your Adobe ID. This is true even if you have set up a Cornell Alternate Email Alias (COEA) and normally use that as your email address. Your Adobe ID maintains its own independent password. Please do NOT use the same password for your Adobe ID that you use for your regular NetID.

No. The name is somewhat misleading. With Creative Cloud, you still download and install software that runs on your local desktop computer, and you store your documents on your local computer's hard drive. It's the licensing that's cloud-based.
Are my documents stored in the cloud?
They can be. By default, your documents are stored on your local hard drive. You also have 100 GB of cloud storage that you can use to collaborate on documents with other users, or work on Creative Cloud documents via other computers or Adobe mobile apps.
I already paid for Creative Cloud. Can I get a refund?
No. If you had paid for your own private Creative Cloud subscription, you cannot get a refund for any amount already paid. However, you can cancel an existing subscription with no termination fee if you have an ELA subscription. Please contact CU Software for instructions.

Who has access to Creative Cloud?
Students taking at least one ACU course per semester, and all ACU faculty and staff have access to Adobe Creative Cloud.
How long do I have access to Creative Cloud?
You'll have access to Creative Cloud as long as you're a registered ACU student, faculty or staff.
I am an adjunct professor, but only teach one semester each year. Will I lose access to Creative Cloud when I'm not teaching?
All adjunct faculty have access to Creative Cloud throughout the year. If you receive a notification stating that your CC access is going to expire, contact adobe@acu.edu. Your department chair will need to verify your adjunct status with the ACU Adobe Ambassador.
What happens if I take a semester off to do an internship or college program, but intend to enroll in classes the following semester? Do I lose access to Creative Cloud?
Unfortunately, only students that are currently enrolled are able to receive Adobe Creative Cloud at no cost. Your account will be reactivated when you are enrolled in and taking classes again.
After my access expires, what happens? Will my projects be lost?
You will receive an email notification to your ACU email address stating that your access has expired and that you will have one week to download your files from your Creative Cloud account. Your projects will still be saved, but to access or log back into your account, you'll need an active Creative Cloud membership.
Graduating seniors will receive an offer to subscribe to Creative Cloud at the student price for the first year.

I have older versions of Adobe programs on my computer. Will I lose my saved projects if I download Creative Cloud?

No, downloading Creative Cloud will not erase any of your old versions of Adobe programs. Once you log in to your Adobe Creative Cloud account, you will see all versions of the Adobe programs that you have downloaded on that device, with the option to erase or update as needed.
